WHO

WE ARE

Padel was invented in Mexico in the 1960’s. It is best described as a combination of tennis and squash, and played in a 10x20m court enclosed by steel mesh and glass.

It  has grown into the worlds fastest growing sport and is exploding in South Africa.

Our aim is to be the first eco-sustainable social padel club.

We are powered by solar with a borehole as well as a sewerage system that recycles and supplies purified water.

Some of our partners and suppliers also make use of recycled materials, and have their own eco-sustainability programs.

We are situated in an area surrounded by trees and an abundance of birdlife, to provide a calm ,relaxing and enjoyable experience.

PADEL?

WHAT IS

What is padel?

Padel is a Racquet sport typically played in doubles on an enclouded court slightly smaller than a doubles tennis court.

Scoring is the same as normal tennis, and the balls used are similar but with a little less pressure.

The main differences are that the court has walls and the ball can be played off them in a similar way as in the game squash, and solid, string-less racquets are used. The height of the ball being served must be at or below waist level.

It’s a great sport for players of all ages and skills, as it is both quick and easy to pick up. Most players get the basics within the first half an hour of playing so that they can enjoy the game.

Padel is not as dominated by strength, technique and serve as it happens in Tennis and therefore is an ideal game for men, women and youth to compete together. An important skill is match-craft, as points are won rather by strategy than by sheer strength and power.
